I'm an avid hitchhiker and I stay with local people all over the world. I've done a big hitchhiking trip across the Eastern Sea, from Hamburg to Denmark, through Sweden and Norway to Finland. Together with my girlfriend. We took a ferry from Helsinki to Tallinn. I had contacted a good friend of mine in Tallinn, she's a journalist, and she told us we were welcome at her ex boyfriend's place. We arrived there, a really interesting Soviet era apartment in a huge building which is part of 40 plus or so similar enormous building. We could sleep in the living room, but we were caught by a room that was chock full of junk, old furniture, papers, books, clothes, toys, anything. We took it on ourselves to clean up the whole place, as a nice gesture. Mind you, it was a huge undertaking. I've worked in jobs like oil tank installation and this one was up there with the most difficult of jobs I'd carried out - no good deed goes unpunished! However, it's nice to give back when staying at other people's places all the time. It took us an hour or five but it was a very satisfying experience. Afterwards we had some excellent Estonian food and hard liquor. |

The steel building prices vary in one degree to another depending on the needs and budget of the buyers. In some countries these may also differ based on the availability of raw steel materials. Some of these structures are built to serve as backyard sheds, storage, office, or space for occupancy. Thus, the prices change not only because of the sizes but also due to the functions. Also of there are additional features to be added like insulation or thicker walls. Thus, the costs may increase as much.
The two types of buildings made of steel also become basis for price ranges in the market. These include the Arch Style and Rigid-I Beam Style steel buildings. The arch style or Quonset hut is best for storage, tool sheds and garages. This type has interlocking ribs forming roof and building sides. It costs lesser and is basically simple. While the rigid-I beam building has straight wall suited for industrial and commercial purposes. It is more expensive but more flexible than the other type. |

I have a wonderful experience of moving house from one place to another. I have to shift my house every eleven months or so, so you could say I have plenty of experience with moving home. As it is not always possible to hire packers and movers due to cost factor I manage it myself taking the help of my friends.
I do a careful planning by writing down what all I’m going to do and how I’m going to do. I have kept large wooden boxes for packing and so the chances of things breaking are less. The crockery items and decorative pieces are placed in these boxes wrapped in our clothes which we wear. I never do the packing of all things at one time rather I do room wise packing. After the things have been packed I labeled the boxes by giving it numbers and writing a list of what is in that box. This way it becomes easy for me when I unpack the things. I keep the valuable things like ornaments, important documents in a hand bag which I carry with myself. If we do careful planning before moving and stick to the plan the move becomes easy.
I'll never forget my first major move. I'd acquired so much junk, I had to hire a skip lorry to get rid of it all! Now I've learnt to live more lightly. |
