Knowing that Something is Wrong with Sister

I notice that Joan is not herself lately. She locks herself up in her room most of the time. She rarely comes down to join us for dinner or breakfast. Almost all the time, she makes an excuse in order to miss a family affair. For reasons I still do not know, Joan is behaving really odd. As her sister, my instinct tells me that something is wrong. I wonder what it is. I want to ask her about it, but I am afraid that if I do, she might take it the wrong way. I know my sister too well. When I told my brother about it, he told me not to worry so much about Joan. He said that he'll take care of it. He went up to Joan's room and asked her, Do you want to buy traffic to your website/ I can show you how if you like. The next thing I knew, they were already laughing. When my brother came down he told me that Joan and her boyfriend has just broken up.
