I have an old tv here that i had been using as my main tv for a number of years without any problems. Recently though it has developed an annoying fault where it will turn itself off. I have contacted the makers and they said it is no longer covered by the warranty so will need to go back to the shop, fair enough i said, i went to the shop and they said no one will help me because it is out of warranty. From what i understand the goods should last a reasonable amount of time and i think 3 years for a state of the art tv is a bit of a joke. I am looking now for a consumer rights gov uk site or something i can look on for help on how to pursue my claim. I understand i may need to go via a small claims court to do this but i am prepared to do this if i need to because it was a very expensive unit and i do not wish to just bin it!.
